The OWLS group with quilts made by members and our quilting group. Some lap quilts have been donated to nursing homes in the city, as well as Missions in Mexico. The OWLS have ongoing projects in support of the WELS Chaplaincy Program in Europe. They also support the WELS African Missions, as well as other mission projects.

NEW MEXICO DESERT OWLS
(ORGANIZATION OF WISCONSIN LUTHERAN SENIORS)
The OWLS organization if open to members of Shepherd Lutheran and Peace Lutheran of Rio Rancho, who are at least 55 and/or retired. Meetings are held on the fourth Sunday of each month starting at noon with a potluck followed by a business meeting.
OWLS PROJECTS:
WELS European Chaplaincy Program: Thank you to all who either donated baked goods or gifts of money. A total of $252.45 was given with Thrivent providing $250 of matching funds.
